Student voices point to trusted reporting, consistent follow-up and meaningful participation.

RMT listening sessions asked young people what makes a school feel safe, inclusive and responsive. Their answers placed trust and follow-through at the centre.

A reporting system only works when a learner knows who will listen and what will happen next.

Learners valued clearly identified adults, confidential ways to raise concerns and regular communication about how reports are handled. They also wanted meaningful roles in shaping prevention activities.

The findings are informing school dialogues, educator support and student-led activities within the Not In My School campaign.
